I had the best conversation with one of my college clients this evening. She wrote a beautiful healing manifesto for herself. Seriously, it was five pages of solid gold poetry.
She used the words “in my little world” several times in her manifesto. As I was talking to her, I was out walking in my own neighborhood where a half a dozen neighbors have created these beautiful little fairy gardens in their front yards. I had to tell her that her words were extra touching as in my own little world, I was seeing fairies on a walk while she was reading this beautiful piece of poetry aloud.
I am not sure what inspires people to install little fairy gardens in their front yard, but today was a great reminder that if you curate your little world to be beautiful and right for you, and I do the same -- we could be happy for one another.
Imagine a world, where we were all happy for one another for doing our own kind of work. This doesn't mean we need to agree on the work or what is beautiful and right. This kind of living requires zero approval. It simple means acknowledging one another.
I see you doing your own work.
I see you trying hard.
I see your life improving.
I see that you are happy.
I am happy for you.
